The Metacozinha [Metakitchen] (2016) is the result of ideas and desires that emerged collectively: a place for rest, a place for meeting, a support for objects, a display for magazines, a flexible structure, an object that reveals and hides itself.
The space was developed during the Metacoletivo project in 2015, together with the resident groups and invited contributors Vitor Cesar and Carol Tonetti. The artist and the architect choreographed this action, in charge of translating all these ideas and possibilities into a concrete proposal: furniture designed for the kitchen, but that could be taken to other spaces of Casa do Povo; a piece of furniture that has practical uses, but which also turns into a back wall; above all, a structure designed to relate to people who frequent the space, with which bodies can interact in various ways.
The Metacozinha space is permanently on the ground floor at Casa do Povo. In it, actions happen as part of the programming and spontaneous uses are welcome.
