Casa do Povo has been focused on actions in the neighborhood to make its space useful in the fight against the effects of Covid-19 in the region. Currently, there are four action fronts in activity:
1/ PRODUCTION
Soap Production
We receive donations of new, used, or expired cooking oil, as well as clean plastic bottles and ice cream pots to produce soap (in both liquid and solid forms), to be distributed in shelters and for the population living on the streets of Bom Retiro.
Bring your oil donation from Monday to Saturday, between 11am and 5pm.
Mask Production
We produce tissue masks along with a network of seamstresses of the neighborhood. We also receive donations of fabrics and money to pay for the work of these professionals.
If you are interested in buying tissue masks in large quantities, please write to voluntariado@casadopovo.org.br.
2/ DISTRIBUTION
Collection of Donations
Casa do Povo works as a collection point for donations that are distributed to several campaigns taking place in the neighborhood, as well as to 250 families of its surroundings.
We accept:

– fabrics
Bring your donation properly packed from Monday to Saturday, between 11am and 5pm.
